Nomad Digital provides data communications solutions for the transportation sector. Our main focus is rail where we have a worldwide customer base. Our solution portfolio is now attracting interest from the first responder sector and commercial fleet sector.Whilst Nomad is primarily a solutions based company deploying a range of products (Nomad and 3rd party) to deliver a complete solution, increasingly our products are available to VAR's and System Integrators as solution components. Typically Nomad engages the rail sector direct but works with partners in its other target sectors.
Nomad products and solutions cover a complete range of data management requirements within the transportation sector - our deployed solutions enable data acquisition, data transmission, data processing and analysis, and data presentation within the rail sector. All of our train borne products are rail approved.
Infrastructure Building private infrastructure (e.g. networks) to augment publicly available services (e.g. WiMax infill in a 3G environment, enhanced telephony)
On-Vehicle Equipment Supporting acquisition, processing and transmission of on-vehicle data (e.g. deployment of train Ethernet backbone with communications router to support passenger WiFi)
Data Management Shore based management and processing of data received from the fleet (e.g. consolidation of train operational data with GPS for analysis by 3rd party applications)
Media Presentation of information from various sources to passengers (e.g. passenger information, infotainment). Our media solutions may be vehicle or land borne
