Support Nomad's support function provides a combination of support models appropriate to the deployed solution. Our support function monitors both vehicle borne and land based equipment using Nomad's monitoring tools that have been specially designed for monitoring mobile IP networks and devices.
Utilizing our many years of experience in the managed service environment, Nomad's various levels of support packages range from a totally managed support service to helping the customer establish their own support function backed up with Nomad specialist resource.
Bronze
This service level is aimed at customers who require a light touch approach from Nomad, the majority of the fault resolution is in-sourced but with some remote monitoring. The customer's see themselves as the main service management center and would undertake equipment exchange and relevant warranty returns processes.
Silver
This service level is aimed at customers who require a partially in-sourced/out - sourced managed service solution in which Nomad are providing the monitoring and the coordination of a 3rd party for fault resolution.
Gold
The Gold service level is aimed at customers who require an out-sourced managed service solution.
For partner led solutions, typically support will be provided by the partner with Nomad providing specialist support. In this scenario, the partner may choose to use either Nomad tools for network and device monitoring or their own network monitoring tool.
Network Design and BuildNomad’s solutions will typically use public networks to provide backhaul from the vehicles to the shore however there are occasions where lack of network coverage or the need for significant bandwidth means that public networks alone do not provide adequate bandwidth for the broadband applications. In these scenarios, Nomad can build network infrastructure in order to provide “infill”.
Nomad has deployed private proprietary networks around the world. To date these networks have been a mixture of proprietary WiMax and mobile Wimax (e802.16). Nomad will take responsibility for RF survey, network design, approval and installation and commissioning. Nomad will also monitor the network performance and provide on-going support and monitoring

Training For our resellers and customers we are able to offer a range of courses enabling them to install and maintain our products and solutions. Courses are aimed at maintenance engineers responsible for installation and commission activities, 2nd line support personnel and customer course trainers.
Project Management Nomad's team includes Project Managers with many years experience of delivering large turnkey solutions in the rail sector. Typically we will use a variant of Prince for project management but can align our project methodology with the customers preferred approach.
Consulting Nomad has a range of consulting skills relevant to mobile IP based solutions in the transportation sectors. Recent assignments include:
